About compyimage

The light table for the modern web: instant, free, and private by construction.

The problem with existing image tools

Most online image converters and compressors upload your personal files to a remote server. This approach is slow, introduces privacy risks with sensitive documents like IDs or client photos, and fails when you are offline or have an unstable connection.

Private by construction

compyimage runs every transformation directly inside your web browser. When you drop a photo onto any tool, the bytes are transferred to a local Web Worker executing compiled WebAssembly (WASM) codecs.

This is not a policy promise; it is a structural guarantee. There is no server upload endpoint in our codebase.

The Light Table concept

In photography, a light table provides a color-neutral surface where negatives and prints can be inspected without chromatic distortion. Our design system mirrors this philosophy: clean, distraction-free neutral backgrounds that never distort your imagery, punctuated only by a single safelight red accent for primary actions.
